BEL AIR, Md.—The Harford women’s lacrosse team saw two players named to the annual MDJUCO All-Conference and Region XX All-Region teams as sophomore Melissa Warczynski (Street, Md./North Harford) and freshman Holly Webb (Abingdon, Md./John Carroll) were bestowed the honor, Webb being the only freshman named to the squad, the conference and region offices announced this week.

Warczynski led the Fighting Owls (7-6, 4-4 MDJUCO) with 72 points over 13 games in the 2010 season, on 60 goals and 12 assists.  She also won 27 draw controls, second on the team, while her 60-goal total is second in the conference and 72 points is third.  Her goal and point totals are currently in the national top 10 as well, ranking second in goals and fifth in points.

Webb finished the season with the second-highest goal and point total, tallying 40 points on 34 goals and six assists in 11 games.  Webb’s eight goals rank eighth in the conference and in a tie for 19th in the county, while her ground ball total of 21 ranks third on the team this season.
