BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford Athletic Office and Athletic Director Ken Krsolovic have announced the hiring of Kevin Carver as Sports Information Director and Operations Manager. Carver spent the past four seasons as the Director of Athletic Communications at Niagara University, a Division I school in Western New York.

Carver will oversee all communication efforts for the 12 Fighting Owl athletic teams, which includes his role as the official spokesperson as well as chief editor of all athletic publications. He also maintains the official department website, HarfordAthletics.com.

During his time on Monteagle Ridge, Carver oversaw athletic communication efforts for all 18 Niagara Division I athletic programs. He served as the athletics department spokesman as well as chief editor and publisher for all athletic publications, digital publications, media guides, press releases and game programs. Carver also maintained the official department website, PurpleEagles.com while serving as the contact for the men’s basketball, baseball, volleyball, women's soccer, men's and women's hockey, men’s and women’s golf and men's and women's tennis teams.

Under Carver’s guidance, the Purple Eagle Athletics Department had successfully ‘Gone Green’, eliminating the production of paper media guides and converting into the digital publication age. All 18 of the athletic programs have a color digital publication as well as an electronic media guide available online. Niagara also maintained successful Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages since the 2008-09 season.

Carver started as Niagara’s Media Relations Assistant in October of 2006, where he helped maintain the website while composing press releases and media guides.

Prior to his time at Niagara, Carver worked as the graduate assistant at Lock Haven University, a Division-II school in central Pennsylvania. He was responsible for the volleyball team that reached the Elite Eight for three-straight seasons as well as the men’s basketball team.

Carver is a 2005 graduate of Lock Haven University, earning his bachelor’s degree in Journalism & Mass Communication. A native of Sayre, Pa., Carver and his wife, Rebecca, currently reside in Lancaster, Pa.
