Hagerstown Bounces Back To Bounce Men's Soccer

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Despite scoring four minutes into the conference contest, the Harford men's soccer team (3-2-0, 0-2-0) fell 2-1 at conference rival Hagerstown amid poor field conditions on Tuesday.

Freshman Brenton Violante and Jordan Kunkel connected for Harford's lone tally. Kunkel found Violante and for the fifth time in as many games, the Fighting Owls struck first.

After that, the offense fizzled, collecting just 12 total shots, including five on goal. Hagerstown regrouped and evened the match in the 38th minute, beating goalkeeper George Tsakiris. The two tied remained knotted at 1-1 at the half.

Despite making a season-best six saves, the Hawks snuck one past Tsakiris for the game winner 18 minute into the second half.

The loss drops the Fighting Owls to 3-2 overall but 0-2 in MD JUCO action. Conference action heats up at Harford Stadium on Friday as the men's team takes on Cecil at 4 p.m.
