LINCROFT, N.J.—The Harford men's lacrosse team won its second straight as it began a three-game road swing with a 17-11 victory over host Brookdale on Thursday night in Lincroft, N.J.  Sophomore Chad Palmer (Fallston, Md./Fallston) led the Fighting Owls (6-8) with five points on the night (4g, 1a), while Mike Millburn did the same for the Jersey Blues with three goals and two assists.

Brookdale jumped out to a 5-2 lead after the first quarter, but Harford would outscore the Blues, 4-3, in the second, which saw two consecutive goals by freshman Jake Crenshaw (Hamilton, Md./North Harford) to cut the lead to two, 8-6, at the half.

Harford would battle to within one thanks to a goal from freshman Joe Rosenkilde (Monkton, Md./North Harford) off freshman Luke Turner's (Forest Hill, Md./North Harford) pass, but Brookdale would answer two minutes later to bring the lead back to two, 9-7.

Freshman Branden Kenny (Edgewood, Md./Edgewood) would add his third goal of the day with 10:12 remaining to cut the led to one, once again, but Brookdale kept hanging around and added a goal at the 7:33 mark to take a two-goal advantage, 10-8.

Rosenkilde connected for the third time in the game with 5:34 left in the quarter to bring the lead back to one for the third time in the period and this time the Owls would knot the score at the 2:33 mark as Palmer took a feed from Crenshaw, before giving Harford the lead, 11-10, with a score off sophomore Russell Harrell's (Joppatowne, Md./Joppatowne) pass with two seconds left.

The fourth would see the Fighting Owls run away with the lead, outscoring the Blues, 6-1 on the way to the 17-11 win.

Freshman keeper Bryan Burrill (Forest Hill, Md./C. Milton Wright) went the distance for Harford in the cage, stopping 10 shots in 60:00.

The Fighting Owls return to action on Saturday when they continue a three-game roadstand by facing CCBC-Essex at 1:00 p.m.
