BEL AIR, Md.—The Harford men's and women's lacrosse teams dropped a doubleheader to two nationally-ranked teams, the men falling to No. 5 Suffolk, 13-9 and the women being bested by No. 5 Anne Arundel, 20-12, on a miserably rainy Tuesday evening at Harford Stadium.

Harford would knot the score again at seven, but two Pioneer (9-1, 3-0 MDJUCO) goals in the final minutes gave Anne Arundel a two-goal, 9-7, advantage at the break.
Anne Arundel dominated the start of the second half, scoring seven consecutive goals in the first 4:40 to cap a 9-0 run from the end of the first half and take a commanding, 16-7 lead on the way to the 20-12 victory.
Sophomore Tori Pyzik (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll/Oregon) led Harford with four points (2g, 2a) on the night, while Megan Schrum totaled seven points for Anne Arundel with four goals and three assists.
Though dominant on the scoreboard, the Pioneers held just a 35-29 shot advantage, but won the ground battle, totaling 36 ground balls to Harford's 19.
