Bel Air, Md. - The Harford Athletic Department and Athletic Director
Ken Krsolovic announced the 2017 spring semester Athletic Director's Honor Roll with 65 student-athletes being honored.
Harford student-athletes earned highest combined GPA for an academic year in the three years since
Mike Smelkinson was hired as the Student-Athlete Success Manager with a 2.70 GPA for the year thanks to a 2.75 mark in the fall and 2.64 in the spring.
The highest team GPA for the semester once again goes to women's cross country with a 3.33 followed closely by men's tennis at 3.24 and women's tennis at 3.18. The softball team came in at 3.02 followed by women's soccer (2.81), volleyball (2.72) and women's lacrosse (2.63). Men's soccer improved to a 2.62 with baseball at 2.54 and men's cross country at 2.48.
Individually, 65 student-athletes earned the Athletic Director's Honor Roll with 12 of them earning a perfect 4.0 GPA in the spring semester. To earn a spot on the Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.0 grade-point average while taking at least 12 credits. Nine student-athletes won the award in all four of their semesters with another nine winning the award for a third time.
